The dismantling continues after the removal of the front end body parts, front outer and inner fenders. I moved to the running boards which has holes rusted through and they were bent. The mounting points at the fenders were rusted through also. I had to cut most of these bolts off because of rust. From here I went to the rear fenders which were again removed by breaking and cutting the bolts. None could be saved. The back of the fenders were rusted away and not usable. Up to this point I have used several cans of WD-40 which seems to work the better than some of the other brands or penetrating agents. My objective has been to get all of the sheet metal off so that I can get the cab loose and gain access to the engine, transmission and frame. I got the box loose and two of us were able to remove it from the frame and put it into storage. I was now able to focus on the cab. I removed everything form the interior including the seat, gas tank, dash components and anything else that was attached by screws or bolts. The glass was removed and discarded. The window mechanisms were removed. Most of the items are going to be reused but will first have to be cleaned and repaired. The floor pans have rust and will need to be partially replaced and repaired. Once the body was unbolted from the frame I was able to move it back on the frame and tip it onto its backside so that the bottom was exposed.
